Introduction to Family Entertainment Group / Frank Theatres:
Celebrating 100 years of "bringing families together", the Frank Family Entertainment Group was
founded in 1906 by Samuel Frank of Philadelphia, PA. The Company has owned, operated, developed and managed over 150 entertainment venues including nickelodeons, motion picture theatres, arcades, restaurant, nightclubs, water parks, bowling centers, game centers and skate parks. Frank Theatres, a division of the parent company and incorporated in 1921, introduced "talkie films" to the Philadelphia area, built the first "Twin" theatre in the United States (1966) and developed one of New Jersey’s earliest Mega-Plex Cinemas…the Towne 16 Stadium Cinema…which also reintroduced stadium seating back in 1986. The company also develops, owns, and operates numerous shopping centers, retail and residential properties, restaurants, nightclubs, hotels and condominium developments. Headquarters are located in Atlantic City, NJ and Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
Frank Theatres has been in existence since 1921 when motion picture pioneer Samuel Frank founded the company. Mr. Frank began his movie career with one Jack Warner, that’s right, Jack Warner from Warner Brothers Movie and Cartoon Studio. The company grew and prospered under the direction of Mr. Alvin Frank and at one point stretched up the coast of New Jersey from end to end. Even today the company is still owned and operated by second and third generations of the Frank family.
The company now encompasses eighteen locations with several more in the advanced planning stages.
"We have only just begun" best describes the new development process, and several projects are in the works.
Our company philosophy "remain creative and innovative" has evolved over the years and contributed to our corporate goal
"to be the leading independent theatre chain in all of New Jersey.
To remain as such we must strive to achieve excellence in presentation, cleanliness, maintain
"four star **** customer service and provide an enjoyable movie-going experience for each and every customer."
"Treating our customers well is the right thing to do."
